Relaxing Dave

A quick make last night using one of the Pink Gem Kit cards and a 8x8 pre-folded scalloped card.

Lots of layers here build up to make this 3D card of Dave relaxing in his armchair.

The kit also includes a lovely insert so the card is decorated both inside and out.

These cards are my absolute go to when inspiration fails and a card is requested!

Graduation

I have to confess, I'm struggling to make cards these days!  My heart really isn't in it at the moment and despite needing several graduation cards this year, I've only just managed to make this one!  That said, I love these Pink Gem Topper Kits, and have relied on them several times this year when my motivation has left me!

Weather

Another quick post as I wanted to join the latest Pink Gem Challenge and make a card for my husband.

Thought the sentiment suited my purpose and fitted the bill for the current Pink Gem Challenge which was Weather - Pick a Season - I picked them all! lol

Again it's an 8x8 card using a topper kit and layering up some of the elements.  I also added glossy accents to my raindrops & eyeballs!

Finally I'd just like to draw your attention to my Just Giving Link - Top right on my blog.

Kits & Toppers

I'm not normally a one for toppers and card kits, but decided to give the Pink Gem ones a try after winning a recent challenge there!  I guessed there was nothing to loose as they were a prize and that if they made quick cards, all the better for my charity box.

So first off, thank you to Pink Gem for my lovely prize - and I now have to say, I adore these topper sets!  Lots of cutting out and layering required, but it's so worth it when you see the end results!

Here is just one of my Pink Gem Topper makes - hopefully it fits the current theme of flowers.

This set is called "A Little Bird Told Me." and it all fits together perfectly on a 8x8 card blank - in my case with scalloped edges!

As I was saying, I have majorly fallen in love with these toppers, and I keep buying more and more - so be prepared for a Pink Gem showcase in the coming weeks!

For now however I must sign off, I'll be back Mon with my OLL DT card but I'm going to be a bit less active on here for a while as we have family coming to stay and a few appointments pending. Hopefully blogger will manage to keep the show on the road in my absence! Jx

Cocktail Emma

Happy May Day everyone, anyone got anything nice planned?  Nothing much on the cards here, I was hoping to go for a run, but yet again I have woken to rain.  Think it's set to improve though so hopefully this afternoon I'll get out.

A new stamp purchase for me today after I was requested to make a cocktail themed card for a friend. Honest, I did check through all my stamps before I headed online and found this super digi from Pink Gem.

So said image was partially coloured with Promarkers, paper pieced and then given a good dose of glossy accents, which resulted in...

Think I'll do more like this for my card box as I have a feeling an image like this could sell quite well after all who doesn't like cocktails and this is a great party/celebration style image.

Baby Gems

...no not lettuces, Pink Gem teddies as baby cards!

Today's post features another couple of pre-coloured images made up into baby cards...you guessed it...to sell in my card box for Cancer Research UK.  Over the last couple of weeks my card box has being doing the rounds, and to date it has raises £29, but it's still nice and full, (cause I keep topping it up) so hopefully it will raise far more in the weeks to come.

Sorry, picture quality isn't great - can't seem to get the right amount of light onto my cards despite them being in the window!

Papers this time are old favourite 12 x 12 Craft Creation sheets and the sentiments LOTV and computer generated.

It uses very old Craft Creations papers, an old pre-coloured Pink Gem image and my lovely La-La Land banner die.

It's a while since I've done a boy baby card so when I won some Pink Gem images, I headed for the baby section & picked up this little beauty! It comes both black and white & coloured, & I went with the coloured option to speed me on my way.
