Photo Inspiration @ MAWTT

Morning everyone - as I type this up its a gorgeous Spring day - the sun has already appeared but no sign of my son & husband, who are still in the land of nod!

A perfect time to schedule a post for this weeks challenge over at  MAWTT.  This week it's the turn of Pami to set the theme and she has posted us a super inspirational picture to work from,

So it's up to you what you choose to use from this picture.  My thoughts went to Easter, eggs, and flowers - I'm also not a huge fan of pink so I chose to go down a Spring route rather than a sugary pink!

So here's my card;

The image is a Di's Digi I won a while back - this year I decided to positively use digi stamp prizes as opposed to simply collecting them! I'm please I did too as I love this image - very sweet!

The paper is old Tim Coffey, then the dies a Memory Box Pippa butterfly and flower border.

Now head back to the main challenge page as we all went down different routes this week, and canme up with some brilliant cards - so even more inspiration there!

Challenges:
Fairies Challenge - Easter
The Kreativekauf Challenge - Easter Bunny
LadyBug Crafts - Anything Goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Welcome Spring
Crafty Calender - Animal Antics
Krafty Hands - Easy Easter Jx

A great theme and there are some really super bunting dies out there - my favourite however is the La-la Land one used below.

Party Princess

Hopefully my niece will stay off my blog this week as this is her card for next month!  Think this about the 4th card I have made for her this year - the others going to relatives, then today I found this new stamp and thought ... Eilidh, so I ditched the previous make in favour of this one!

So, the image - its a freebie by All Dressed Up - heard of them? I hadn't, then kinda stumbled onto their blog - and loved what I saw...so check them out!

Papers are a mix - the main sheet being a Karen Foster 12x12 - ballet stripe - the rest are form scrap mountain!  The sketch this time is from SSW2 - love the fish tails & wish I'd bought both sizes to I could layer them up - but I didn't so I went with inky edges instead!

Colouring is by Promarker/Flexmarker & the dress is finished with a glitter trim.

Challenges;
All Dressed Up - Use a button
SSW2 - Super sketch - again

I Love Promarkers - Lets get spotty - the middle fish tail...perhaps not enough?

So my card uses two PB's - got that Sam! and old Craft Creations paper.

Magnolia-licious

Yeah, Spring has finally arrived, we have had consecutive days of sunshine, the washing machine has been maxed out and the grass has had it's first cut of the year.  I love Spring!

So, it's Wednesday again and back to team B at Diva's for the latest challenge, which is...

Magnolia-licious

So that's basically any stamp by the Magnolia company as your main image, including, Tilda, Edwin, or any of the animal characters they have. Simply to use a Magnolia die or design paper is not enough!

Now it's positively ages since I've done a Tilda card and all my Magnolia stamps are years old, but thanks to Mrs Laurie Magnolia, I now have more recent Tilda's - thanks Mrs M!

Sorry for the shadows - it's the sun!

So, my card, it uses a gorgeous Spring Tilda image, I've then used Tim Coffey, K&Co papers and Andrea Jayne, Hot Diggity Dog papers, Kraft, WOC flowers and some die cut foiliage (thanks Debs).  Colouring is by Promarker and the card completed with a PB sentiment and lagre pearls.

Challenges:
Sketch n Stash - 134 - A new image and old (very) papers!
The Kraft Journal - Green - Thanks also for my super prize from last months challenge - it arrived yesterday and I love my new krafty goodies
Glitter n Sparkle - Anything goes
Great Impressions - Spring
Digi Choosday Challenge - All about Girls
Magnolia Down under - Birthday
Make My Monday - Spring

Sponsoring us this time are the fabulous Magnolia-licious this is a new site to me, but they have some fab offers on, great tutorials and obviously everything Tilda - well worth a visit.

Mr & Mrs Snowman

Today is one of those days when I want to do everything!

I was supposed to be in the garden again, but look at me - inside making Christmas cards.  But it's not my fault - it's Sue's!!! Sue very kindly gave me a Bugaboo gift voucher for my Birthday - so clearly I had to spend it then use said stamps!!! Thanks Sue, you know hiw much I love Bugaboo!

Challenges;
CCWS - No 113 - love it!

I'm A Spring Chicken...

Yellow and small, I got a lot of feathers and I'm not very tall!

Colin used to sing me that song - wonder if he can still remember all the words?

Anyway, my card - Spring and Sunshine inspired...

and obviously cat inspired too!

And why is my computer off whilst I'm typing a post - hmm, that would be Merlot - his favourite key on the keyboard is sleep and with unfailing regularity he shuts down my computer... but obviously I still love him!

Challenges;
SSW2 - Just made it!
PB@Allsorts - So sweet - Well how sweet is that cat being to those chicks - mind you he's maybe heading to the cooker with them!  Thanks also for my prize last month, Jx
Sweet Stampin - Inspired by a film, song or book - mine that the song I mentioned at the start of my post - don't know the title as it came from school, but I'll see what I can find on you-tube!

Finally, a huge thank you to Debs for my Birthday dies from Memory Box - the flowers are down to you, and I love them!!!

Intoxicating Tea Party

I realise my blog activity has been much reduced this past week, but that's because I was helping my neighbour with a huge fund raiser for the North East Romanian Support Group charity.

Well the event was yesterday - an "Intoxicating Tea- Party" - where cocktails were made and served from gorgeous china teapots into pretty china cups.

The event was a huge success, all 120 tickets were sold by word of mouth without advertising, the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious and the best bit of all...

The group managed to raise in excess of £2700 - final figure later once all monies are in!

So, the afternoon started with a welcome from the group leader then a party game.  There was then a fashion show, cocktails & cake stand treats (- don't they look delicious,) vodka jellies and a raffle, cocktails, another game and another cocktail then finally supper and if anyone still wanted...a cocktail or two more!

A lot of hard work went in to organising & running the event but when the group saw just how much money they had made it was agreed that it was certainly worth all the hard work and effort.

Great fun too! Jx

Thanks Girls

Today I was out for Birthday lunch at my twin sister's house along with my nieces, Sarah & Eilidh - they popped home from school at lunchtime as it was such a special day and Eliidh drew her cat loving auntie this...

Isn't it just brilliant - don't think I could draw this good at age 7.
I love all these pussy cats - aren't their faces just brilliant, and they are all doing such interesting things.

Lunch was a very interesting Mulligatawny soup followed by an even more interesting chocolate cake - only joking Liz, lunch was fab!

So thanks everyone who sent me lovely cards and goodies in the post - you have all been really generous, I've had a lovely Birthday and hopefully will have a fun evening too.

Jx

Hi folks and welcome to the latest challenge over at an Oldie But a Goodie.  Today, Helen is in the driving seat and has set the theme as

White Christmas

Super quick post this morning ahead of my scheduled OBAG one.  Another Christmas card following the super sketch at Christmas Challenges With Sketches.

Sorry about photo - it's a wet grey day.  Use the flash and it over exposes if too close - hence the jaunty angle!

** Why is it that once you photo a card, you see layouts better - or is that just me?  Once I looked at this card on my blog I thought the sentiment would sit much better on the right - so it moved!  This meant a few more embellishments were needed, but in the end the card looks like this and not the one above!

The image is my favourite Delicious Doodles one which I used last year in it's original rectangle shape.  Today, lots of zooming and cropping & it's a circle!

Challenges;
CCWS - Another super sketch - I love layers!
Delicious Doodles - One For The Boys - A Male Christmas Card or am I stretching things here???
