Pink Snowy

First off, I must thank Sam for sending me up some Snowy's, a friend asked me to make her cards with that image, only said stamp is out of stock everywhere at the moment!  Sam however came to the rescue cause everyone knows, if it's a Penny Black you want, chances are she has it! (Thanks again.)

Ribbon & Lace

Morning everyone, how are we all today?  Must admit, I'm a bit tired as I was up early yesterday to take Alan to the dentist for an emergency appointment as he'd chipped a tooth.  From there, we then went a quick visit to my parents, very enjoyable even if it was still before 9am.  Next it was a Tesco shop before he headed back to Aberdeen for Uni classes.  I then stayed and cleaned the flat before heading home for tea.

Hopefully today will be a bit less busy!

I do however wish to thank everyone who entered my CAS Christmas challenge last time at an OBAG. What fantastic cards appeared in our gallery and so picking the winner and Top 3 was not an easy job. Check on the main blog page for the results.

This time over at an Oldie But A Goodie the challenge is

Ribbon & Lace
(Remember also to use an item which is older that 6 months and to tell us what it is.)

For my card I used everything old!  The image from Bugaboo was a favourite of mine last year, the papers LOTV, also available last Xmas and the ribbon and lace are older still!

And the prize for our luck winner are some lovely goodies from Natali over at Ivanovachest.

So I went for Christmas again, but it's up to you what you do as long as you have ribbon & lace on your card.

Challenges:
Come And Get It - Use a Digi

Music

I'm typing this up at the weekend as I have a busy week planned.  Several of our window ledges need re-varnished and I have decided to sand them back and make them good again before Christmas - well that is the plan!

In the mean time though I want to tell you about the latest challenge over at Moving Along With The Times - set by Pami, it's...

Music

And it's up to you how you interperet the theme as long as it's obvious to us what the connection is!

I went with a super new image from Mo's Digi Pencil, coloured with Promarkers and then set on really old Dovecraft paper.  The card is finished with twine, ribbon & a charm, and a dot of glossy on the star!

The rest of the DT have come up with some super makes for this one, check them out on the main DT page then join us for this weeks challenge.

A quick card tonight and a short post to show you a Christmas card I made using a pre-coloured image from HobbyBook, which I won last week in a challenge.  Thanks for the images you guys, as Tony the Tiger would say, "They're Great!"

Really pleased with the images I won, just haven't got the time to play with them all, but I am cracking on with the varnishing so I'm chuffed about that. Jx

Something Snowy

Mid November and I appear to have got back on track with my Christmas cards - how about you lot, still a few to make?

If so, why not join us over at Diva's By Design in this weeks challenge which is

Something Snowy

Obviously you don't have to make a Christmas card as long as you follow the theme, but I chose to go Christmas just for a change!

Sopnsoring us this time are the fabulous Bunny Zoe's Craft who have a fantastic range of products and are giving our lucky winner

Challenges;
Winter Wonderland - For A Child
CHCC - Outdoors - well snowmen shouldn't be in!
Papertake - Snow & Ice
Sketch n Stash No 21 - using all old stuff this time, nothing new

Finally - HELP NEEDED
I was with Leelou blogs, but when they decided to remove their backgrounds I decided to make my own. Got hubby to do all the hard work, but we can't quite get it right!  2 problems exist

1. I can't shift Leelou off and get rid of their stuff and button on top left. (And this may be why prob 2 exists.)

2. The back ground sheet only falls over the first 2 inches on the blog where the banner is, then stops and continues in the Leelou background.

So kiddies, how do I sort this? I'd really appreciate some help with this.  My lovely Laurie has been a great help and I'm sure would sort it if she was sat at my computer doing it, but via email I just don't get what has to be done! Jx

CAS Christmas

So how are we all today?  Hopefully well and ready for another fun challenge, cause today see's a new challenge over at an Oldie But A Goodie, and the theme was set by me!

If you are anything like me, Christmas cards just haven't happened this year, so hopefully to speed things along and boost card stocks the theme of

CAS Christmas Cards
(Please remember to use something older than 6months on your card and to tell us what it is.)

will help!  The sponsor this time around is the fabulous Bugaboo - and their images work wonderfully well in bold colours on CAS cards, so I strongly urge you to give them a try.

For my card, I went with a relatively new release called Merry Christmas Tree, available here.

I simply coloured it with Promarkers, glazed my baubles, (glaze being my oldie) then mounted the image on green card and doodled the edges - that simple!

Now as time is now critical for me on the Christmas card stakes, this is my kinda card! Let's see what you lot can come up with now. For more inspiration, hop back to the main blog to see what the rest of the DT made.

Challenges;
Crafty Calendar - All Things Christmas
Sweet Stampin - Christmas is Comin

Fairy Kittens

Over the weekend, I came across another super freebie from A Day For Daisies, called Fairy Kittens - as you can imagine, I fell in love with it straight away as it reminded me of all the new born kittens we had to visit in the Summer before we settled on Merlot.

So this card simply celebrates my love of cats!

Cute Card Thursday - Animal Magic
I Love Promarkers - All That Glitters
Simon Say's Stamp - Keep It Clean & Simple
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge - Fur or Feather - went for fur

Tiffany

Afternoon everyone, hope your weekend is going well. Mine has been nice and lazy, just the way it should be, and the biggest bit of excitment was Merlot the cat getting outside for the first time - that was so much fun for him - bit cold for us though!  So far his outdoor adventures have been short and accompanied, but before long he'll be off on solo adventures...yikes!

So, todays card uses a lovely Tiffany digi from Milk Coffee Stamps - I don't have many of their images, but those I do I love.

Again, not the best of photo's, but that's cause it's not taken in natural light - I'll get a better shot tomorrow in day light. (Picture changed for a daylight shot!)   Papers this time are MME and Basic Grey and the pearls and green sparkly are all Hobby House thanks to a candy win from Pami - would never have bought such crazy items myself, but am so pleased I have them now as they look brilliant.

Challenges;
Passion For Promarkers - Geeks - Anything with glasses, eye wear.
Papertake - Anything Goes
SSW 231 - I so love this challenge - one I try not to miss!

Basic Grey - Sparkle & Glamour - Brown Flower - Granola

Swirly, Pearly & Girly

Morning all and welcome to another challenge over at Moving Along with the Times, and today, it is Debs who has chosen

Swirly, Pearly & Girly

as our theme.

This to me cried out Baby Card, so this is what I made using a Pink Gem Design pre-coloured image.

Apologies for the colours in the picture - taken at night in lamp light - and shaddow! Meant to take another, but the card is gone & I forgot!

So, there are lots of lovely creations over on the DT page, so why not check them out and then join us.

Challenges:

Miley Mouse!

This morning, little Merlot, or Lotty as he has already become was at the vets for his second round of vaccinations.  All went well and he has been given ear drops as he has mucky lugs, but apart from that he is fine and this time next week he will be allowed outside at last!  Today however he is zonked after his meds - it was the same last time and he slept pretty much the rest of the day after the vet.

So, this gives me time to craft, with a new digi - another super one from Wee Stamps, coloured with Promarkers them given a little bit of glitter here & there.  Papers are Craft Creations then I finished things off with die cut & punched snowflakes, a ribbon and blobs of liquid pearls.

Challenges;
Papertake - Anything Goes
Stamping Sensations - November - Christmas
SSW 230 - Lovely sketch

A Gem of A Challenge - Christmas is Coming
One Crazy Stamper - Christmas

Here's Merlot, a couple of weeks back when he had a day trip to visit Alan in his flat, which you will be pleased to hear is still tidy!

Snow Much Fun

Still on Christmas, but feeling good about production this week, made quite a few cards so am a bit happier about numbers now.

Todays card uses a fabulous Penny Black stamp called Snowball fun.  Released in 2001 and it has stood the test of time - it's still lovely 12 years on!

Papers this time are Craft Creations although you hardly see the sheet at the back of the card with Christmas text!

Challenges;
I Love Promarkers - Anything goes - Warm Grey 1-5 used
CCWS - Another lovely sketch
Allsorts - Celebrate Christmas
Passion For Promarkers - Shades of Grey - Warm Grey 1-5

Snowy? Not yet I hope!

A classic Penny Black stamp today, a beautiful snowman and one I never tire of seeing - he's such a lovely chap!

So, I'm still flat out on Christmas cards, using previously stamped images - do we all have a box of these? Some partially coloured but the majority just stamped then abandoned!

So, my card was very eco today, lots of scraps of paper, not sure who's though, an old stamped image but then new bling! The first outing for my summer candy win from Pami, the lovely sparkly blue snowflake centers! (Thanks Pami, you sent me a really super range of embellishments to brighten up my cards. )

Challenges;
Papertake - a super sketch
Winter Wonderland - Blue & White
CHCC - Bling it Up
PB Saturday Challenge - Sparklers
PB & More @ Allsorts - Anything Goes

Christmas Cat

As soon as I saw this Mo Manning digi, I knew I had to get it.  It's just perfect for our household this year as I am 100% sure that Merlot kitten will not keep away from the Christmas tree - he is into everything else so why would he leave the tree?

So, it's a simple card today using the current Sketch n Stash sketch, with ribbon and Fancy Pants paper.

Challenges;
Sketch n Stash 124 - new stamp old papers
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Christmas/Winter holiday
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Getting Ready for Christmas - Decorating the tree
