Card making has all but ground to a hault for me this summer, been busy gardening and then this past week I've been helping my neighbour prepare for the local agricultural show which is on this weekend.

The DST was however brought into action today as I was asked to make a nurse leaving card.  I found a super new image from Papernest Dolls for the job and teamed her up with Basic Grey paper.  A simple card, focusing mainly on the image, and a touch of accents added to the stethoscope.

Fruit & Veg & Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's Birthday, and as it's me that's hosting the challenge over at an Oldie But a Goodie this time, I thought I'd pick a theme that would help me create his card.  So todays challenge is

Fruit & Veg

Now my Dad is a super keen gardener and veggies are his speciality (although he's also very good at growing roses and keeping his grass in tip-top condition,) so here are a few inspirational pics of his garden to help you with your creations.

For my card, I chose a JustInklined garden themed digi, called Gardener's Harvest - Available Here which I thought would be perfect for my Dad. I've had it for over 6 months, kept specially for this card! As for my card, well it's nice and simple with kraft and a charm, burlap and neutral papers.  All my colouring is done using Promarkers.

So how's everybody today?  Summer holidays for the Scottish schools are now in full swing - not that that concerns me now with both boys left! With the summer season, MAWTT decided to drop to being a fortnightly challenge to give us DT ladies a rest.  Somehow or other I haven't noticed the difference though as I flipped teams last challenge and now I'm back to team A, so as of yet I haven't had a break!  Not that I mind though as I was eager to use my new Art Impressions stamp for the latest challenge as today we are looking for Nice Bright Summer Colours as we take on a

School Is Out

I'm way ahead of myself here, but I know last Summer I found it a real bonus to have worked ahead over the holiday period, so there wasn't as much pressure on to get DT work out.

So today's card is for the current challenge at an Oldie But A Goodie.  Anne-Marie  has chosen...

In my case the oldie was the image - as infact was the colouring - think it was one I prepared last year but never turned into a card.

The paper is a 12x12 sheet - MME Lime Twist and my colouring by Promarker.

It's a good job I did have this prepared in advance as we ended up in Aberdeen last night staying over for a little break. Watched a DVD, Philomena, with Judi Dench and Steve Coogan, best film I've seen in ages so I recommend it to you all. A great story, funny, sad, moving and true. Jx

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Am I showing my age again - hands up if you remember this Cyndi Lauper hit from the 80's? They really don't make video's like that any more do they...thank goodness!

Anyway, back to today and the new challenge over at Moving Along With the Times - set by me, it's...

And here is my fun card using a great Stamping Bella image and some pretty Bo Bunny papers.  Flowers are WOC - ages since I've used any and the doily is pinched from Stella next door!
