Lovin Hugs

Hopefully I'm still on time with this card for the Passion For Promarkers Challenge, which was 2's this week to celebrate their 2nd birthday.

I followed the layout on the Sketchy Thursday Sketch Challenge (Eat Sleep Stamp 132) for this one so I'll be entering that too.

So my 2's are, 2 bears, 2 hearts & 2 purple rectangles. Jx

Angus Goes Walkies!

It's weeks since I've done a Less Is More Challenge, but I thought I'd have another go after breaking just about every rule a few weeks back! Think this one should comply, staring the lovely Angus again.

Less Is More - Pick a square
Alphabet Challenge Blog - D for dog.

(Once uploaded I felt poor Angus was too squashed in the corner, so a quick reposition & I'm happier!) Jx

Angus The Wee Dog

I bought this Sugar Nellie stamp in the 50% off sale at Funky Kits. He's small, but boy has he been worth his £1.50! I love him and so far he's been the sole attraction on his own cards as opposed to a pet for some of my other girly stamps.

Anyway he's certainly the centre of attention on this one, no papers or bling to hide behind. Just Angus, some embossing, a touch of lace and some card candi & some twine. Looking at my card posted, a little bone charm would look perfect on the twine cross. Unfortunately I only have fish for my catty cards so we'll just have to imagine!

He's now entering the following challenges;
Sketch Saturday - Their lovely sketch
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Animals - Of which he is!
Party Time Tuesday - Animals - Woof!
Crafty Emma's Store - Embossing - Circles & Hearts. Jx

Snowy The Snowman

Another Christmas card using an image sent to me - another PB from Sam/Whisper.
This one is for the Winter Wonderland challenge where they are also having their 2nd Birthday & a blog hop. Lots of prizes so you might want to take a look!

Papers are by Craft Creations & the embossing done with my Cuttlebug. Jx

My First Simply Sassy

I won this stamp last year in blog candy posted by Wiccababe (- thanks again Debbi), but have taken months to get round to using her as I thought she'd be too hard to colour with my Promarkers. However when I got down to it, she wasn't nearly as bad as I thought & I'm actually quite pleased with the finished result.

So I've used Doodlebug papers lace & pearls & my Pillow Talk Sugar Nellie stamp.

Sugar Bowl Challenge
- Their lovely sketch
Diva's by Disign - For the girls
I Love Promarkers - Pearls
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Lace

Finally, my son Alan sat his last Higher exam today. It's been a tough 3 weeks, but YEAH! they're over now & better than that he's still got a week of exam leave to go so he's fair delighted! Well done Al.

P for Presents

I coloured this image for last weeks Winter Wonderland challenge, then never got round to making the card, but as luck would have it I can kinda use it for this weeks as the theme is P & presents is a p word!

Tractor

Today I have been busy emptying out our huge built in fish tank with a view to getting rid! All because of the gale force winds last night! The wind caused us to have a power cut and during that time the fish tank decided to pour water all over the hall floor & half empty. Why? I haven't a clue, as it wasn't the first power cut we've had. The one yesterday however seemed to blow the pump - our something, cause when I switched things back on this morning, there was a terrible burning smell followed by more water lapping at my feet! Hence, ta-ta fish tank!

Once that was sorted, (and all fish returned to the pet shop to get new homes), I made this card. It used a National Trust stamp, & a Hero Arts Stamp, (No papers) & a couple of CB folders. Challenges;

Cards for Men - No papers - I stamped my background.
Create 4 Fun - Their Sketch.
Crafty Cardmakers - Embossing Jx

By The River

This was one of the first LOTV stamps I bought, & much as I love the image, I find it a hard one to colour & shade. I've teamed it with a sheet of card from the Papeterie (our local papermill) and have gone for a distressed look on all edges.

Challenges;
LOTV - Here comes Summer
MAWTT - Their sketch - but flipped as it worked better that way with the image.
The Stamp Man - Blue + Torn/ripped + Diecut - blue squares - ripped/distressed edges - circle diecut.
Crafty Emma - Embelish it - 1 ribbon, 1 button & 3 pearls Jx

Eatin & Sleepin in a Sunflower

I never realised this House Mouse stamp is dated 1990 - over 20 years old! Not that I've had it that long or in fact been card making anything like that time. It's one of those stamps I bought early on cause I liked the image, then I thought it was too big so shyed away from using it. It was however perfect for the sketch over at Pixie Cottage this week along with a number of other challenges. Backing paper - Basic Grey. Colouring - Promarkers, & I don't know if you can see, but the top mouse is double stamped and layered, & the image edge inked with distress ink.
Pixie Cottage Challenge - Sketch
Papertake Challenge - Floral - the sunflower
I Love Promarkers - Animals - the 2 mice
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin Challenge - In The Garden - My flowers.

Be One Traveller

This Sugar Nellie image is a bit different to my usual ones, but as they say, a change is as good as a rest.

I've coloured her with Promarkers and used Doodle bug papers and a Marianne creatable die I bought for Christmas then never used! The paper is actually flock, but I don't think you can make that out from this pic. It actually goes quite well - better than the boring white that's showing on the pic.

This card is for the current Sugar Bowl Challenge - their sketch.
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Paper Shelter - Black, White + 1 - I chose purple.
Promarker Challenge - Card for a teenager.Jx

Christmas Stocking

A quick post today, and it's another Christmas card. Using another PB image from Sam & some old Dovecraft paper I've made this one for Crafty Hazlenut's Christmas Challenge - which was photo inspiration - I drew on the Christmas stockings. Jx

Crazy 4 Catz!

It has to be said, I'm a bit daft on cats. I love them all, which is probably why our house always seems to have at least one on the go. There's Femo our own cat, Tommy the stray who I now like to call mine also. But then there's Huntleigh & Slick - both neighbouring cats who hav found our cat flap & food! Even my husband's initials spell CAT!

Anyway, enough rambling & onto the CAS card. Image, Cat Blocks by Inca Stamps; Coloured with Promarkers & backed onto Cuttlebug embossed panels.

The card is made using the layout in the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge. Jx

Tongue Tied

This Sat will be my 23rd Wedding Anniversary, so I've made this card for my other half - hopefully not to fussy & fancy!

The image is another great Penny Black called Tongue Tied - from my friend & fellow blogger Sam/Whisper. The hearts are from Spellbinder dies & the card is finished off with some candi.

Obviously this card was made with you in mind Craig, but it just so happens to meet the following challenges too;

Cards For Men - Someone Special - That's you Craig - still special after 23 years.
Crafty Creations - Anniversary
Then I'm not sure about this one so feel free to tell me it's not got all the elements, but the layout was based on this weeks Sketch & Stash Challenge. Here, the image has been badly neglected - it was one sent to me ages ago by Sam & I've never got round to using it. Newest - those dies - bought this year for Valentines Day.
Woodware USA - Wedding/Anniversary - My 23rd Anniversary card for my husband.
Papertake Weekly - Fancy a Punch or die - I used my Spellbinder hearts. Jx

Sea Shells by The Sea Shore

I bought these lovely shell stamps off Ebay USA years ago, no brand, no nothing! Don't know who they're by but I know they give a lovely clean image every time & I wish I'd bought more in the series!

This simple card is for a number of challenges, including;

Crafty Catz - Include a quote/ sentiment - Used a Penny Black sentiment stamp.
Allsorts - Use at least 3 stamps - I used 4.
Crafty Emma - Your favourite colour combo - Has to be black & white.
Sweet Stampin - Childhood Memories - Well Mam, if you're reading this, how many times did we trail along Fraserburgh beach looking for shells? I collected them big time when I was little & then I made shell models.

Poppy

I've had this Woodware stamp for a while now, but only got round to using it last night. The Poppy is coloured with Promarkers, (Antique Pink & Mango) and the papers are My Mind's Eye.

I'm entering the following challenges with it;

The Stamp Man - Poppies - Woodware Stamp
Sketch Saturday - Their Sketch - Loved it!
Oldie But A Goodie - Say It With Flowers - The poppy again!
Crafty Ann's - Happy Birthday

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Finally, below, I thought I'd include a picture of the real deal! Taken in my garden this morning.

Aren't they stunning! For years I admired these in my parents garden, then my Mam gave me some plants so I now have lovely poppies of my own - Thanks Mam! Jx

Swans

This card is made from a digi stamp I won on the I Love Promarker challenge the other week. It's from The Digi Doodle Shop, & whilst I was over there spending my lovely gift voucher, I noticed they also run a challenge, so I thought I best enter it! (Thanks DD for the lovely prize!)

Paper - Bearly Mine
Colouring - Promarkers
Card Candi & Pearls & Ribbon.

Digi Doodle Challenge - Sketch
Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge
For Fun Challenge - Spring Jx

White Christmas

Gone is the glorious sunshine of the last few weeks and sadly we're now onto heavy rain. Mind you, I re-seeded 2 areas of grass in the good weather, so hopefully the rain will get the grass to germinate - it's taking a while!

So, on that weather theme, I've done a very snowy card using a PB stamp called Treescape, bought in the Sir Stampalot sale at New Year. This simple card uses embossing, distressing, stickles, buttons & a ribbon to add dimension to its white look.

Winter Wonderland - Colours of Christmas - White Christmas
I Love Promarkers - A Song Title - White Christmas
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Distressing
Phindy's Place - Embossing - Snowflake backing.
Bah Humbug - Recycle - The ribbon is off Tesco Sheets Jx

Thank You

This is the first of several thank you cards I am making for my son Alan to give to teachers he will be leaving at the end of the school year. I chose this image especially for Alan as he's so laid back. Hopefully he'll remain so in the coming weeks as he sits his Highers.

Papers are Doodlebug & Basic Grey ; Colouring with Promarkers.

Sketch Saturday - Their lovely sketch - think I'll be using it again.)Woops, it was last weeks sketch!

"I" for Indigo & Ice

Thought I'd better do another Christmas card to keep up with the 1 a week challenge over on Do Crafts along with the ABC Christmas Blog Challenge

This week it's letter "i" for Indigo & Ice - think my card's more ice than indigo, but it's so hard doing Christmas cards when the weather is so sunny. Infact it's very hard doing anything indoors at the moment. You've got to make the most of the sunshine, we don't often get it so good - so today I was gardening then I went for another run. Then the day was rounded off with a BBQ.

I'll also enter this one into CHNN - Use Diecuts - Round & Scalloped nesties used.

WoW Gorjuss Girl

Another white on white (WoW) card here, this time using my Gorjuss Girl & following the Sugar Bowl sketch.

Sugar Bowl - Their sketch + buttons
MAWTT - Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers - No design papers
Crafty Creations - White space
For Fun Challenges - Earth Friends - Recycled ribbon from sheets purchased.

PS Why is it that as soon as you upload a card, you think, ooh something's not quite right? This time, I felt the top right was a bit empty hence the late addition flower!

Tractor Time

Spring time around here means tractor time, especially in the current weather! All farmers seem to be out in force doing all sorts of jobs with their tractors and the brown fields of winter have now taken on a decided green look. With this in mind, I've made this male farming card using a National Trust stamp I bought on Ebay & basic grey papers. The card is for the following challenges;

Truly Scrumptious
- Their lovely sketch
Cards For Men - Circles - Round die cut, Buttons & Polka Dot Paper.
Wags n Whiskers - Use a die/punch - nestie for circle

Afternoon Tea?

Well it's another brilliant sunny day here, so I've just been for a run & am now heading out to cut the grass. Before I do I thought I'd quickly post another card for the Sketch n Stash Challenge, (sketch 7). I saw so many great layouts when I was picking which one to use, I found several just waiting to be aired! As for the new or neglected bits of stash, I have to say it's the papers. Bought them last year but when I got them home I struggled to get colour matches with them so they've been collecting dust for a while!

Image - LOTV; Papers - Dovecraft; Colouring - Promarkers. Jx
