Twine Time

Morning all, Diva time again, and although this card isn't very Divaish, I am quite pleased with it & I think the dangly football is kinda cute!

So, first things first, the challenge this week at Diva's by Design is

Twine

And the fabulous sponsor back with us this time is my all time favourite Bugaboo, who are offering our lucky winner 7 free digi's of their choice.

For my card, I chose the digi Bugaboo Brat Sports - Soccer Boy available here.

It's a simple card, no inner diva appearing this week, but it's for a boy so he wouldn't want flowers & fuss. Instead he has a 3d arm and a football you can ping! I think this would appeal to a boy more.

Challenges;
Crafting Musketeer's - Challenge 4 - Sketch
Heck of A Challenge - Summer holidays
Drunken Stampers - Twine
One Stop Crafts - Add stripes
Artistic Inspirations - CAS
Make My Monday - Childs Play
Crafty Sentiments - Colourful
Creative Craft Challenges - Not a square

So that's my take, now over to you, but first, I highly recommend you visit the main DT page as you won't be disappointed by what you see.

Have a good week you lot, Jx

We Three Geese

Morning all! How is everyone today?  Our house is a bit subdued - the school holidays are over and Colin is heading back for his final year!

Can't believe it really, his school days coming to an end and a new chapter in all our lives.

But before I get too deep and thoughtful I have a new card to share with you for the new challenge over at an Oldie But A Goodie.

The theme this time is

Embossing
(Remember also to use something older that 6 months on your project and to tell us what it is)

And here is my card;

The sponsor today is Rick St Dennis, and he has very kindly agreed to give the winner some lovely digi images of their choice.

He also very generously let us DT ladies pick an image of choice, & I'm very pleased with my selection of "We Three Geese", available here.

Don't those geese have the funniest of faces? I loved them as soon as I saw them!

Anyway, my card uses Crafters companion papers pearls and a ribbon - the papers are my oldie and the colouring is done by Promarker.

Beach Bum Mum!

Sometimes it's just nice to make a card, not for an order or for a DT, but just because you like an image and want to!

After taking much crafty time off this summer, I wanted to make this card just for fun, the image is from Meljens Designs and is available here.

Papers are craft companion and the shells mostly off the local beach, although there is one fancy one which must have been bought.

Crafts Too Challenge - Fun in The Sun - you can't beat a day at the beach in my book!

Diva's Play Bingo

Morning everyone and welcome to a new challenge over at Diva's by Design.  This time we're playing bingo, so select a line from the grid below & off you go!

Sponsoring us this time is the fabulous Delicious Doodles, a company new to me, and surprisingly right on my doorstep as the owner, Teri stays in Elgin, less than an hour's drive from my home!

The image I chose for my card is a local scene - I recognised the viaduct at Cullen as soon as I saw it, so thought it was the perfect one for me!  It's called Harbour Scene and is available here.

The image has been slightly shaded with Promarkers before use and my edges have been distressed & inked.  One of the panels has been embossed with little boats, but I think you may just have to take my word for that as it's not that clear from my pic!

Finally the card is finished off with a ribbon and gems to complete the first column of the bingo grid.

Below is a real life photo of the above scene.  I didn't quite get the angle right, but you can see it's the same location - just I wasn't on the right spot on the harbour wall! Oh yeah, and the tide was out on my visit.

Challenges;
613 Avenve Create - Anything Goes
That Craft Place - Monochrome
The Ribbon Girls - Birthday Card
The Squirrel & the Fox - Nautical/Sea Life
Sweet Stampin - By The Seaside
Craft Your Passion - Sea Theme

For more inspiration hop back to the main Diva's blog to see the lovely creations by the rest of the teamies. Have a great week, Jx

Boy/Male

Where has this year gone?  I can't believe we are now in August and it's SQA results day!  Today's the day Colin finds out how well he did in this years exams.  I know he tried his best, so that's all you can ask, so this card is for him, to say well done.  He's now heading in to his last year of school, then who knows what...time will tell.

This card is for the current challenge over at an Oldie But A Goodie, which begins today where the theme is

Boy/Male
(Please also use an item older than 6 months on your card & tell us what it is)

And the sponsor this time is Robyn's Fetish who are offering our lucky winner 5 free digi images.

My card uses a lovely stamp by From The Heart, which is available here.

The ribbons are my oldie - bought in Germany last summer and the image is coloured by Promarker and set on kraft.  Papers by MME  - Everyday Flair.

Challenges;
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 217

Delightful Inspiration - August Image Challenge
2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes for kids
Card Crafters Circle - Dotty for Spots
Southern Girls - Animal Antics

For more inspiration head back to the main OBAG blog , and finally, I'd like to wish a warm welcome to Sarah, Kelly & Anne Marie, our new DT members.

PS Colin got an email at 2.30 this morning then the envelope through the door at breakfast - he passed all his highers, so pleased for him, Jx
