Chloe's Card

Most Sunday nights Chloe and Alan are on the phone for about an hour catching up on chat before school on Mon. Thought this Sugar Nellie stamp would be perfect for her 17th birthday next month.

Papers used are all Craft Creations and the wooden heart is from Designs On Pine.

Sassy Saturday Prize

Using the stamp I won the other week in the Sweet Sassy Saturday draw I've made this card;

It follows the sketch in the current Sugar Bowl Challenge and also fulfils the requirements for the MAWTT challenge which is a recipe - 3 papers, (1 is MME the others...scraps!); 2 embellishments - flower & heart & 1 image, the lovely Dad Hare Day.

PS Finger really sore still, and am on antibiotics! Jx

Under The Mistletoe

Another great Christmas image from my pal Sam, making my second post of the day. Thought I'd better get it posted as I have a really sore finger after getting, of all things, a huge splinter in it whilst sanding some skirting board. Anyway my finger is quite hot & swollen, & if it gets any worse I think I may photograph it too as it's quite impressive!

Anyway, back to the card, here it is;

Papers are Dovecraft from last year, and the raffia stuff from Germany.

Aqua Peace on Earth

I love these little Christmas angels...can you tell!

This one uses really old classic Christmas papers by Anita's which I found at the back of a drawer! As always, colouring done by Promarkers, & my snowflake is cut using a Dynamics die. (25th button stamp also LOTV)

Super Mum!

This card was made for the monochrome Penny Black Challenge over on PBSC.

I've gone with pinks - the papers are Doodlebug & Papermania & colouring done with Promarkers.

I'm now off into the garden as Mr Hedge is waiting for a trim! Jx

Colin The Hedgehog

I had to buy this stamp - the hedgehog is called Colin - & so's my son! I remember when I first read him the book Q Pootle 5 about an alien landing on earth, the alien met a cat called Colin & my Colin thought this was just brilliant!

Anyway, the card...

I've made it using a lovely digi stamp I bought from Willow Sketchie Designs - especially for this challenge. You don't have to use a Willow Sketchie image for their challenge, but it's a great Promarker prize this week so I thought I'd pull out all the stops & buy a stamp. (Actually, I love the finished image so will be back to buy some more stamps soon!) So, colouring done with my favourite Promarkers & papers, My Mind'e Eye. The steam binding is from Ribbon Girl & the hearts from the Pine Company.

The Ribbon Girl - Brown & Green - Can you enter this challenge more than once? Couldn't see a limit, but if it's only one entry, please let me know.

Fluffles Leap

Stampendous Fluffles was the first set of stamps that I really fell in love with. I can remember sitting up till 1 in the morning to bid for a set in America on Ebay! I won the bid and I think this was one of the stamps in that set.

I think it's a great Autumn stamp with all those leaves, & perfect for a number of challenges running this week, including;

Simon Say's Stamp - Die cuts or punches - I went with my MS punch and my leaf border
Sketch & Stash - I used sketch 7
Raise The Bar - "Leave" Summer - Think I qualify for that!

Maggie In Heart Jumper

Well this is an old stamp! Nothing sassy about Maggie, but she has a certain charm just like Hamish, and they're all great Sugar Nellie stamps. I've dug Maggie out, for my 3rd entry into this fortnight's Sugar bowl challenge, following their lovely sketch.

The papers used are My Mind's Eye, and the colouring done with Promarkers, then the lovely ribbon & buttons were part of a great prize I won from The Ribbon Girl when they sponsored the PBSC. Thanks ever so Mary & Andrea, your items are gorgeous & I'll definitely be paying you a visit for more crafty bits soon. Jx

PS I the process of linking this post to Ribbon Girl, I've now discovered they too run blog challenges, & as luck would have it, my card fits the current challenge theme of green & brown, so guess what ladies? I'm entering the Ribbon Girl Challenge!

Beer Beer!

I've made these two cards for a friend. Never quite sure to put on cards for 17 year old boys, but I thought this might do the job - I'm sure it's lemonade in the tankards!

The image is from Digi Stamp Boutique & I'll enter my cards into their monthly challenge. Jx

Cat's Choir

Since Monday, both our cars have been in the garage for repairs. Mine was a simple exhaust re-fit, should have been back the same day, but the wrong part was ordered, then there were supply problems, but fingers crossed, 3 days later...mine should be back repaired tea time tonight. Sadly the same cannot be said about Craig's car, one expensive part has now become two and we are looking at a repair in the region of £2500 and no car till next week!

So, house bound again & fed up cleaning & ironing have turned again to cards!

This one uses a new Lindsay Mason stamp & brown paper - & a free paw stamp from Andrex!

I'm entering it into;

Craft Us Crazy - Autumn Colours & Favourite embellishments - mine is that woven ribbon stuff I got in Germany. Jx

Weather For Ducks!

...It's done nothing but pour for the last 2 days...what else to do, but make cards!!!
I bought this stamp off ebay years ago, I loved it then, & I still love it now! Coloured it with Promarkers and used Papermania papers for this weeks Papertake Challenge of Things With Wings. Jx

Any One For Tennis

Well this summer has been the summer of tennis for my son Alan & I. For some reason, tennis has been his sport of choice and he's been playing regularly against me and some of his friends. Sadly however as the summer has progressed, his serve has improved vastly, whilst my game hasn't really altered... my winning streak has come to an end!

This card is for him for the end of next month, when he celebrates his 17th birthday.
