Age As Focal Point

Mid July, well it is when this goes live, but I'm still in June!  I am however working ahead and this is the card for Carole's challenge over at MAWTT
So she has asked us to make

Age the Focal Point 

in our creations.  So I have done this using a super digi stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique and some rather old papers which I found at the back of a drawer!

Anniversary

Monday morning again and time for a new challenge over at Ooh La La.  This time it's Julie who has chosen the theme, and she's picked,

as our theme, which happened to be perfect for me, as my parents celebrated their 60th (diamond) Wedding anniversary back in April so I made them this card to celebrate.

Again it's from the Shawn Jenkins Collection, and I made it a big 8x8 card with a scalloped edge...that's the beauty of CD crafting, you can scale up or down size to suit!

As You Like It - Favourite way to add ribbon - a strip down the side or bottom of a card - just breaks up the layers and adds a nice bit of detail!

Get Well Soon

So, there's been a bit of a demand on cards of late, first graduation, then my neighbour going in to hospital for a hip replacement, hence the need for get well and thank you cards, all mixed in with the usual birthday requests!

So this demand has spurred me on and today I'm sharing my get well card with you, as my neighbour comes home today and it will be so good having her next door again so I can pop in and out as I please!

I'm not even going to begin naming the papers - they are old, but colouring is by Promarker and the stamp by LOTV.

Finally, I promised I'd share some graduation pics with you...so here they are.  So proud of Alan, five years of study and he graduated with First Class Honours in Master of Chemical Engineering.

Oh me! What a mix up this morning! My card scheduling has gone all to pot and I'm entering 2 cards into one challenge then leaving another blank!  Pauline, thanks for putting things right and helping me get things as they should be!

So what do we associate with summertime? The sun, visits to the beach, the garden in full bloom...any of these and a whole load more!

I went with the beach, my favourite place on a sunny day and chose this delightful image from the Paula Oakley CD - can you tell it's a favourite of mine and if you don't already have it, might I suggest you look into getting it as it really has so many fantastic images!

More Graduation

So it's another graduation card today - this time for one of Alan's closest friends who is from Ghana - so I thought I'd use a tartan ribbon to remind him of his time is Scotland!

Graduation

After several weeks...if not months of card block, I have eventually managed to start colouring and make cards using stamps not kits!  Not sure if this was simply due to necessity or if I'm actually getting back into my card making...we can but hope!

Today's card is for our son Alan, who heard last week that he will be graduating in Masters Chemical Engineering with First Class Honours!!! Can't get better than that so I thought I'd best make him a card to celebrate!  His graduation is on Thurs so I dare say you'll see a photo or two!

My card uses a sweet Penny Black stamp and a selection of old papers - I am trying to use what I have...for now!

Monday morning and I hope you all had a good weekend.  Uni term is now over so I've got Colin back home just now, and then Alan at the beginning of the week which is lovely.  I also have this years Race For Life next weekend, so am busy with my running.

Graduation

I have to confess, I'm struggling to make cards these days!  My heart really isn't in it at the moment and despite needing several graduation cards this year, I've only just managed to make this one!  That said, I love these Pink Gem Topper Kits, and have relied on them several times this year when my motivation has left me!

Fairies

Hi everyone, I'm the hostess this time at MAWTT and today I have chosen

Fairies

as my theme.  There are so many gorgeous fairies out there, so the problem this challenge is deciding which to use.  Again I've gone with a super sweet Wee Stamp image all ready coloured. and paired her with some old papers, and a fancy die.

I was really pleased with how well the colours on this one matched - not always that easy with pre coloured stamps, but today it was possible with the papers I had.

This hasn't happened in a very long time! Two posts from me in the same day! Can't quite believe it myself actually but here is the proof, a second card and this time its a Christmas card!

And the reason for the second post, is that I was lucky enough to be asked by Lisa at the Christmas With The Cuties if I'd like to guest design.  Clearly the answer was yes and the card below was made following their current theme of,

So, initially my card was going to just feature holly, but in a last minute switch this Christmas Cutie was purchased from Wee Stamps as I thought she filled the challenge better!

Papers are oldies from a few years back, I think by Fancy Pants but to be honest I'm not sure!

So for my card I used this image from The Shawn Jenkins Collection with matching papers.  This time the sentiment is off a Pink Gem topper sheet - it matched the card and was looking for a home!
