Blowing Bubbles

So after getting off to a good start last month, card production once again faultered...but crafting didn't!as

I was making a scrap book for Colin's 21st so was busy with that along with a couple of cards for him.

So I'm now back on card making as my nieces birthdays come up soon, and my first make for them is this cutie, a new stamp company for me and a new image - Time For Tea - Bubbles!

She's coloured by Promarker and the papers used on this one are ones from my crafty chum Hazel.  They are Paper Boutique - A Hint of Hoot

Relaxing Dave

A quick make last night using one of the Pink Gem Kit cards and a 8x8 pre-folded scalloped card.

Lots of layers here build up to make this 3D card of Dave relaxing in his armchair.

The kit also includes a lovely insert so the card is decorated both inside and out.

These cards are my absolute go to when inspiration fails and a card is requested!

Daffodils

Like many, one of my favourite Spring flowers has to be the daffodil, so when I saw this lovely stamp over at Power Poppy I had to have it!  What I now need to do is sign up for a Kit and Clowder class and master colouring it better...so this can be the before!

As always colouring is by promarker, but this time I pencil shaded round the image, and I distress inked my edges to make the image and sentiment a bit more prominant.

i made this card last week for one of the birthday challenges over at bugaboo - but speed reading caught me and when I went to upload my card I realised I hadn't followed the colour theme! what a muppet!

so the card was ditched and a new one made, and as luck would have it, the very next day Bugaboo uploaded a new challenge and my card fits! How good is that!!!

So a latte with sprinkles?  Bit more up market that a flat white, I wonder if I should suggest it to Costa!!!

Bugaboo 8th Birthday Challenge Day 7

Such a crafty week and here is my final submission to the week long event.

I had made a card earlier today but as I was posting it I realised it wasn't just sprinkles that was being asked for - there was a colour palette too...oops!

So take two!

This is a bigger than normal card for me sitting on an 8 x 8 blank but the image is so pretty so why not go large as they say in a well known burger chain!

Bugaboo 8th Birthday Challenge Day 5

Day 5 of the Bugaboo Challenge and I've done 4/5 - that is almost as many cards as I made in the whole of last year!!! Well not quite, but I can't remember when creativity and productivity was so high! And I have Hazel to thank for this as she encouraged me to get on with things again!

Today's card is all about cupcakes - don't have a problem with that - cupcakes are yum - and the more frosting the better!

I missed yesterday cause it wasn't a card, but I'm back today for the week long challenge event at Bugaboo this time with the bingo challenge.

My simple CAS card uses one of the bugaboo Brat images, coloured with Promarkers.  The sentiment is a die cut, and the little lady is raised on foam pads to sit above the letters.

It's been so long since I've made a card or posted one I have kinda forgotten the basics! So back to basics it was, a simple image and a short post!

So, Happy New Year to anyone reading this, my followers are few these days a bit like my cards and challenge entries.  I'd like to say things will improve this year, but who knows...only time will tell!

Today's image is a Power Poppy digi, and if there was a new company that would drive me back to card making it may well be this one as I could buy so much over there.  But rather than fill my basket, I've just picked up a couple of images, and my reward, should I use them will be a couple more!

Santa

It's been quite a while since I posted on my blog as I've now stepped down from all the DT's I was on and having a bit of a crafty break.  This is my final card for 2017 and it's for the Christmas Cuties as I agreed to Guest Design for them twice this year.

Their theme this time around is

So I can imagine this will be a popular challenge!

My card used lots of oldies as I haven't been buying much new this year, a Dovecraft stamp and old old papers that I loved and because I put that on my blog, the lovely Susan gave me some more from her stash - thanks Mrs!

Today Jen is looking for

as the theme for the latest Ooh La La Challenge.

So I chose this lovely fishing boat image off the Paula Oakley Collection.  Coming from a north east fishing town, I love this boat image, reminds me of the harbour I grew up beside and all the huge boats that used to berth there.  Now I know it's not huge on animals, but if you look close you'll see the sea gulls - lots and lots of seagulls - also very prevalent in Fraserburgh!

Autumn/Fall

Well for those that visited my blog on Monday you will have read my kitchen news and the good news is, the workmen arrived and work is now underway - the bad news is I have no kitchen for 3 weeks and my living room is out of action too as I'm getting new flooring throughout both!  Hopefully next visit it will be all smiles and a progress report, but for now, back to Team A again and the latest challenge at MAWTT, and this time we are looking for creations relating to

So for my card I went for autumnal colours and this gorgeous sweetie from Wee Stamps!

The stamp was a new purchase pre coloured digi, but my papers are from the back of the drawer and were a favourite of mine a couple of years ago (Bo Bunny).

Harvest Time

Can you believe it, September almost been and gone already, the nights are getting darker quicker and the weather is turning that bit colder - it's Autumn already and heading fast towards Winter!

Sentimental

It's never a good idea to leave DT work till the last minute as things have a habit of going wrong and what seems like a reasonable plan fails in every respect!  Think my report card this week will read, "Could do better!"

More of my ramblings in a minute, but first the latest challenge over at MAWTT set by Christine, and to feature a sentiment as the focal point - no stamped pics - just a verse! 

So my card uses one of the great Visual Image sentiment stamps I won at the Stamping Sensations Challenge a couple of months back, (thanks again), and combines white and ivory card and several of my favourite dies.

As for the colour of the card - yeah...white and ivory, not beige, and certainly not pink!  Oh the joys of night photography with a failing battery!
