That said, I just made a card, lol!  I really love the Pink Gem toppers at the moment, so I went back to their store and purchased these adorable snowmen - cute or what!!!

Lots of layers made up this beauty!

and I even decorated the inside!

It's just so easy with these files!

For my card I went back to the Everyday Occasion's CD and picked this sweet teddy bear!  Not too seasonal I know, with sunflowers, but a little bit of sunshine always cheers you up on these dark Winter days!

Don't know how it is with you, but up North it's freezing!  We had hail showers over the weekend and a cold northerly wind, Brrr indeed!

So once I tidied up the garden a bit, picking up loads of fallen leaves, and washed the car, what else was there to do but craft!

Not one of my favourite themes I have to confess probably cause I'm never too sure what makes a card vintage, is it an old fashioned pic, the embellishments used or a colour scheme followed, so I guess we'll leave the interpretation up to you!

I went with an old sort of image - well who wears aprons like that these days???

So here is my card, using a super male digi from Di's Digi's which I got in their $1 sale a few months back - what a bargain! (Just checked folks - Sale still on!) Papers are a right mix from my scrap box and the hearts were bought last year in Germany!

My card uses a lovely digi from Digi Stamp Boutique and I created my border by cutting and pasting lines of flower heads into a square.  Colouring as always is done using Promarkers. Jx

So here we are, British Summertime at it's best - and hopefully you are enjoying good weather where ever you are.  Today's challenge over at Ooh La La has been set by Pauline, and it's a super Summer theme, she's looking for,

Now this was a tricky one for me, cause there are two gorgeous beach images on the Paula Oakley CD and I was torn between which one to use.  In the end I went with this donkey image, cause I used the promenade one last year for a similar challenge theme!

As well as the CD items, my card uses embossed kraft and a gorgeous faux suede ribbon from The Ribbon Girls.

For my card I went with this sweet Penny Black dog playing his trombone - not sure who I got this image from but its one I've had for ever from the good old Docraft Days when "swappsies" were the name of the game!  I'm thinking it probably came from Miss PB herself, Sam, but it might have been Sharron...who knows! Thanks anyway ?

Back to the card, coloured with Promarkers then set on MME papers I think, but I can't find the pad as I had a tidy!  The music notes and treble clefs are cut from new little dies.

Weather

Another quick post as I wanted to join the latest Pink Gem Challenge and make a card for my husband.

Thought the sentiment suited my purpose and fitted the bill for the current Pink Gem Challenge which was Weather - Pick a Season - I picked them all! lol

Again it's an 8x8 card using a topper kit and layering up some of the elements.  I also added glossy accents to my raindrops & eyeballs!

Not everyone's favourite I know, but we all have men in our lives and they deserve cards too!

For my card, I reached for my Boys to Men CD and used a lovely harbour image.  This time I went all cream and neutral with it, as the last time I used the image I went all blue and nautical!  Just shows you how a change of paper really affects the end result. My initial card can be seen here.

Angry Birds

Just a quick post today as I needed a birthday card for my brother.  Thought he might like an angry bird!

This is my first time using these stamps and matching dies along with distress inks to colour - hence I kept it simple!  Hopefully my inky skills will increase over the summer, Jx

4 Legs not 2!

Morning all, the latest challenge over at Ooh La La is hosted by me so I'm excited to announce that I've choosen

4 Legs not 2

Then proceeded to make a card with cats on 2 legs...I'm mad!!! (But you all know that!)

So my challenge is looking for animal projects basically cause you all know I love animals...and if that animal happens to be a cat, all the better!

Anyway, back to my card which uses an Ooh La La FREEBIE available here.  Papers are off the Shawn Jenkins CD also by Ooh La La and the lace is from my favourite city, Berlin!  The main image is decoupaged and the card completed with die cut hearts pearls and flowers.

The card was for my husband on our 28th wedding anniversary, which we celebrated earlier in the month.
